Day 7 – Sandpoint, ID
Hi, it’s Bella and I’m back to writing again.  My 2 days off were really appreciated… writing is EXHAUSTING!
This morning was cold and rainy and we were all a bit lazy so we stayed in the hotel much longer than usual.  Eli asked to be in the Jeep so Dad let him sleep in his bed out there.
Before we left Coeur D’Alene Mom and Dad drove us around town where we saw a MOOSE!!!  It was like a cartoon moose that came to LIFE!!!  We wanted to get out and sniff it but I guess Mom didn't hear because she just kept driving.  I think we need to get her a hearing aid or maybe just be a bit LOUDER with our requests.

Then we headed up to this place called Sandpoint, ID. It rained all day long.  Mom and Dad said it is really pretty up here.  I have to side with Lililoo on this one, pretty is just another name for blurry.

Our first stop was at an “artist studio” down a really long windy road.  Well, at least that’s what Mom and Dad called it.  To us it was just another wonderful place in the mountains where we AGAIN had to stay in the Jeep.  Oh they let us out to “REST” but not for very long.  The people were called Thomas and Sally and Mom and Dad must have liked them because they were smiling a lot.  They kept looking at stones and rocks (like they’ve never seen them before???).  Mom said these are the people that made our rock drawer pulls and towel holders and lamp in the master bathroom of our old house.  They have something called a “website”.  I’m not sure what that is but Mom said I should type this “address” into my travel notes for the day so everyone can go there.   http://stonehardware.com/  Thomas and Sally had a little dog named “Jack”.  He was about the same size as that dog/rabbit/thing that was at the dog park in Yakima.  Jack came over to the car to say “hi” in what was described by Sally as his “terrorist” way.  Lili and I REALLY wanted to get out and go nose to butt with him.  When we almost broke the car window trying to get out, well, let’s just say that killed all hopes of the meet and greet.
From there we drove into Sandpoint.  We stopped at this place called “Laughing Dog Brewery”.  I don’t know what was so funny about it.  It didn’t make us laugh.  Lililoo wants to file a complaint for false advertising.  She went on and on and on about it.  I finally told her to “chill”.  She is such a drama queen.

Next we drove to this place called “Coldwater Creek” (it was a store or something).  We guarded the treasures in the Jeep while they were gone.  It was a pretty busy area so we really earned our keep this time.  When Mom and Dad came out, they came out with 2 more people.  It was Allen and Steph.  Mom used to work with Allen at West Marine and now they live in Sandpoint.  Allen works for that Coldwater Creek place.
Then we went to the hotel and ate dinner and went for a quick walk.  It was pouring rain so we were more than happy to get back in the Jeep (especially Eli).  Mom and Dad drove to a restaurant.  I know it was a restaurant because we had to STAY IN THE CAR while they went in for a long time with Allen and Steph.  Of course, they didn’t bring us anything when they came out.  I think we’re all getting a bit numb to that now (well except for Lili who ALWAYS makes a big deal about it/everything  - did I mention that she is a DRAMA QUEEN).

After that it was a walk in the rain and off to bed.  Sure hope the sun comes out tomorrow…
