3 Hounds On the Road - Days 1 & 2

Day 1 – Santa Rosa, CA

We got up today and had to walk on LEASHES – UGH!!!  Not sure who in the world invented those things???  Eli said he would bite that guy on the butt if they ever crossed paths!  After a morning "tethered" walk, we hopped in the car for a ride – YAY!!!  We were on our way to a place called  Modesto to see this lady that we REALLY love and then Dad got called into work in a place called Pleasant Hill and the lady had to go to a Dr. appt so we ended up driving to a place called Napa.  Mom and Dad took us to a dog park.  It was GREAT because we didn’t have to be tethered and there was so much good stuff to smell.  After that we went to a place called Santa Rosa.  They also had a dog park!  If this keeps up, Eli and Lililoo and I will have a wonderful adventure!  We checked into a hotel room that was a little bit bigger than the last one.  That made Dad and Eli much happier which made me and my sister and my mom happier too.  This hotel had Styrofoam cups for Mom and Dad to drink their wine from.  We didn’t sing tonight… we didn’t want to make Mom and Dad mad.

Day 2 – Eureka, CA
We got up today and went to the dog park.  It was nice to stretch our legs but there weren’t any other dogs to sniff and play with.  Mom and Dad took us for another car ride which was nice because we were pretty tired.  This time we were going to a place called Eureka.  We drove for a while and then Mom turned off on this road called “drive through the tree road”.  She said “I’ll bet we could drive through a tree on this road”.  Sure enough, there was a tree and people were driving through it.  Our car wouldn’t fit because of the big shell thing on top.  That’s ok though because we got to walk through it with Dad while Mom took pictures.  After that we got our extra long tethers on and walked through a meadow.  There was this VERY threatening sound so I protected everyone by letting out a few big howls.  Yes, I saved everyone from the scary bullfrogs in the pond.  These guys are SO lucky to have me!  After that we went for a car ride and ended up in some little Victorian village called Ferndale.  We went for a tethered walk and then Mom and Dad put us in our 4-wheel drive kennel while they went somewhere to eat.  Sigh… we never get to go with them when they eat yet they are always present when we eat.  What gives?  We then took another car ride and ended up in a hotel room that was big enough for all of us.  For some reason they didn’t take us to a dog park today.  Mom said there wasn’t one… I’m not sure what to believe.  This time we got to be with them when they ate a pizza thingy in the room and drank their nightly wine out of Styrofoam cups.  We didn’t get any pizza or wine.  :(

Angel
